Stephen J. Symonds

Executive Vice President

Stephen Symonds is an Executive Vice President responsible for institutional clients in the U.S., based in New York. He brings more than 15 years of investment management and financial services experience to the company.

Prior to joining Man Investments Inc. in 2006, Mr. Symonds spent nine years with John A. Levin & Co., Inc., in New York where he worked in different functions, most recently as Director of Client and Consultant Relations and Institutional Sales. Previously, he worked for Yarmouth Group, New York as vice president responsible for portfolio sales and property valuations and for Merrill Lynch as associate for real estate corporate finance. Mr. Symonds’ professional career began in 1984 when he joined AT&T as a pension fund analyst. In the middle of his investment industry career, Mr. Symonds spent six years in the hospitality industry, training as a chef and working as a chef/owner of a restaurant in the British Virgin Islands.

Mr. Symonds received his BA degree (magna cum laude) in economics and French from the Hamilton College and his MBA degree from the Columbia University, Graduate School of Business. He also holds the Grande Diplôme de Cuisine Française from the ‘Ecole Cordon Bleu’ in Paris.
